How old is Trump?
Donald Trump or Donald John Trump was born and raised in Queens, New York City, and in time when you read this article he is 71 years old. He was born June 14, 1946, the fourth of five children of Frederick C. and Mary Ann MacLeod Trump.
His father Frederick Trump was a builder and real estate developer who specialized in constructing and operating middle-income apartments in Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn.
His mother Mary Ann was a Scottish immigrant. She emigrated in 1930 (aged 18) from her birthplace of Tong, Lewis, Scotland to New York, where she worked as a maid.
Fred and Mary were married in 1936 and raised their family in Queens. Elizabeth’s second son, John, became a notable physicist and inventor.
Trump grew up in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood of Queens, New York. He attended the Kew-Forest School from kindergarten through seventh grade.
Donald was an energetic, assertive child, and his parents sent him to the New York Military Academy (boarding school in Cornwall, New York) at age 13, hoping the discipline of the school would channel his energy in a positive manner.
“I was a wise guy, and they wanted to get me in line,” Trump said. “Thinking back, it was a very positive influence.”
Trump did well at the academy, both socially and academically, rising to be a star athlete and student leader by the time he graduated in 1964.
