What Real Evidence Michael Flynn has that Donald Trump Told him to Contact Russians?
Former White House National Security Advisor Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to giving a false statement to the FBI in connection with an investigation into alleged Russian interference in the US presidential election.
Flynn is ready to testify that current US President Donald Trump told him that he should establish contact with the Russians at the time of the presidential election, ABC News broadcast.
Flynn, a retired general who was dismissed from his post at the White House in February after it was discovered that was not said Vice President Mike Pence about his contacts with the Russian Ambassador, the central person in the federal investigation of influence of Russia in the US presidential election in 2016 and the possible collusion with Trump’s campaign, led by special investigator Robert Mueller.
Mueller’s office accused him in documents given to a Washington court that he lied to the FBI on January 24th.
Flynn lied to FBI investigators in December 2016 that he did not requested from Russian ambassador in the United States to refrain from escalating the situation after Washington imposed sanctions to Moscow, says Mueller.
The sanctions imposed by the outgoing President Barack Obama.
Flynn also lied to not remember that Russian ambassador said that Moscow decided to be moderate in his response to US sanctions because his request, the documents say.
Documents, dated November 30, also state that Flynn lied that in early December did not ask the Russian ambassador to postpone the vote or vote against a UN Security Council resolution and that the ambassador never conveyed the Russian response to it.
White House: Flynn’s guilty plea only applies on him
Recognizing the guilt of former US National Security Adviser Michael Flynn that he has given a false statement to the FBI only applies to him personally, the White House said.
Nothing about the admission of guilt or accusations not charged anyone else but Flynn, said Ty Cobb, a lawyer of the White House.
False statements in this case reflect the false statements he gave to White House officials, which resulted in his resignation in February this year, Cobb said, adding that his confession of guilt opened the way for a quick and logical conclusion of a special prosecutor’s office investigation on Russia’s role the US President election in 2016 and the possible collusion with Trump campaigns.
Real evidence against Trump
But we have to wonder if Michael Flynn has more real evidence against Trump than the former FBI director Comey’s memo was? Is there any actual written evidence in any form against Trump, which he has signed, e-mail, video or audio recordings?
When will Mueller announces to American people which real evidence he has against Trump and his connections with Russia?
